Hi! My name is Ella.
Welcome! I am a licensed psychologist offering psychotherapy to adolescents and adults in English and Dutch, based in Barcelona.

My Story
Originally from a small town in Flanders, Belgium, I moved to Ghent to complete my Bachelor's and Master's degree in Clinical Psychology. During the final year of my Master's, I specialised in Systemic Therapy, which sparked a deep interest in relational dynamics and family systems. Throughout my training, I gained extensive experience working in youth care homes, supporting children and adolescents facing severe emotional and behavioural challenges. This work has shaped my therapeutic approach, highlighting the importance of attachment and trauma-informed care.
After I relocated to Barcelona I followed a 2 year postgraduate Master's in Systemic-Relational psychotherapy at Hestia training centre. During this time I held a dual role: providing therapy in an international psychotherapy centre and working as a psychologist in an international school, where I supported children with special educational needs.
Additionally, I hold a membership in the Colegio Oficial de Psicología de Catalunya (N. 33812) and I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Belgium and recognised General Health Psychologist (Psicóloga General Sanitario) in Spain.
Your story matters, let’s explore it together
My aim is to support individuals from diverse backgrounds navigating life abroad. This by creating a safe space where you feel heard, understood and empowered to grow. I believe therapy is a collaborative journey, where you bring your story and I bring tools, insight, and compassion. As a therapist, I strive to create an open, warm, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your inner world and work through challenges.

I believe that therapy is not just about addressing symptoms and I don’t see symptoms as something to “fix,” but as ways your mind and body are expressing that something deeper needs attention. Anxiety, low mood, or feeling stuck aren’t just problems to solve, they’re invitations to explore what’s happening beneath the surface.

A safe and trusting therapeutic relationship is the foundation of everything we do. I’ll meet you where you are, and we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.

No one size fits all, but therapy that fits you
My work is grounded in systemic therapy, which means I give a lot of importance to the relationships and dynamics that shape your life. Whether within your family, partnerships, workplace, or broader social context. I see each person not in isolation, but as part of a living system, where patterns and interactions can both support and inhibit personal growth.

At the same time, I recognize that no single approach fits everyone. That’s why I integrate tools and techniques from other evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and emotion-focused strategies. This allows me to tailor the therapeutic process to your unique needs. As part of continuous professional development, I engage in regular professional inter- and supervision and engage in ongoing training.

My approach focuses on looking beyond the symptoms and understanding the patterns, emotions, and experiences that shape your current struggles.
